There is a special kind of magic that settles over our grounds as day begins to fade—the air stills, the light softens, and everything seems to glow from within. Here at The Kedleston Country House, we’ve always believed that twilight (between 3.30pm and 4.30pm) is an enchanting times to say “I do.” So when Kimberley Hill Photography and Red Velvet Bakery brought their vision for a twilight wedding editorial to life within our walls, we knew something extraordinary was about to unfold.
Our Twilight Wedding Package (Golden Hour Glamour) is the perfect offering for couples who wish to eliminate traditional elements of a wedding day, such as a seated meal, and transition straight from vows to cocktails under the stars. But all the magic and meaningful moments remain; a Twilight wedding doesn’t replace tradition… it elevates it.

Our Orangery was styled to capture the very essence of an autumnal afternoon (3.30 - 4.30pm) ceremony. A cascading floral arch, lush with greenery and soft white blooms, framed the altar beautifully. Rows of elegant chairs draped with dramatic black fabric brought a contemporary twist to the classic setting thanks to the talented True Love Lights Your Way Wedding and Event Venue Styling Nottingham.
As the candles were set in place along the aisle, we could already imagine them flickering warmly as twilight washed through the skylight above. It’s in moments like these that our space truly comes alive—intimate, inviting, and filled with atmosphere.
Hosting this twilight photoshoot was an absolute pleasure. Seeing our house through Kimberley Hill’s lens and Red Velvet Bakery’s creative vision reminded us of why we love what we do. The Kedleston Country House is more than a venue—it’s a place where moments like these unfold naturally, shaped by light, atmosphere, and the love stories that grace our rooms and grounds.
