Alice & Chris’s May wedding at The Kedleston Country House was one of those celebrations that stayed with us long after the last dance. Full of personality, laughter and an incredible number of thoughtful details, their day was a wonderful example of how much fun you can have when you make your wedding completely your own.

From the very beginning, Alice & Chris brought their personalities into every part of their celebration. Their personalised Pokémon cards gave their guests a wonderful surprise, while each wedding breakfast table was themed around their travels together, creating a dining room full of stories and memories from their adventures.

And then there was the entrance into the wedding breakfast. With napkin swings, Cotton Eye Joe playing and their guests joining in the fun, it was exactly the kind of unexpected moment that makes a wedding unforgettable. Later in the day, a delicious tiramisu tower took centre stage for dessert, followed by a wonderfully nostalgic game of pass the parcel.

As a Derbyshire wedding venue, we love seeing couples bring their own ideas, traditions and personalities to their wedding day, and Alice & Chris embraced that wholeheartedly. Their celebration was beautifully elegant without ever taking itself too seriously, a day filled with incredible food, meaningful details, plenty of laughter and so many moments to remember.
